Lolo Pass Visitors Center

The kids were out of school on Monday so we decided it would be fun to go see the "big" snow up in the mountains. We have been told about Lolo Pass and it is less than an hours drive from the house, so off we went. Abigail was very excited to go see the big mountain and to her delight saw many horses along the way.

It ended up being a very fun time. The drive up was very nice and the snow was great. In the parking lot we got a few pics of the kids with the snow taller than all of them. There are also some pics of the visitors center itself, with the snow just piled on. Behind the visitors center is a hill that is perfect for sledding, so with sleds in tow, we headed off.

Of course, Tyler and Jacob were able to find a "jump" on the hill and spent the rest of the time seeing who could jump the highest coming down the hill. Someone had dug out a snow cave, so we got a few pics of that with the boys stuffed inside. Also, someone had made a snow fort, so the kids had fun playing with that.

Overall, it was a very fun day. The kids had a great time and it was so fun for Jim and I to see the kids enjoying themselves. It is a beautiful area that we hope to get to again before our time is up here in Missoula. There were quiet a few cross-country skiers enjoying their time there also, giving us an idea of something new we would love to try out for our little family. It is so nice to be able to enjoy the wonderful things the Lord has given us here on this earth.

Here is a rare pic of myself, but it is with my little sunshine, so I could not help it.
