Here are a few shots of the kids playing in the snow yesterday after the huge snow storm. They had a good time, but were dissappointed that they could not make very good snowballs to throw at each other. They found other ways though.

The boys climbing the "mountain" of snow from shoveling off the driveway.

Princess Abigail finding her way in all this snow. She had a hard time as most everywhere she went it was to her armpits.

Sunshine enjoying a nice comfy seat just the right size for his small frame. He had a great time also, but like Abby became quickly overwhelmed at the amount of snow. It was hard for these little guys to do much more than just walk on the shoveled sidewalk as the snow was just too deep for them.

Jacob and Noah trying to rescue the sleds from the jungle gym. They were pretty buried, but never fear, mommy came to their aide and pulled them out. Jacob then became frustrated as he "tried" to sled down the small slope in our backyard, but failed. Again, just too much snow. We will have to go out there next week and build a little sledding hill of our own for them to enjoy.

Putting Sunshine to work. He is a great little helper. Notice Abby in the background in the safety of the house. She got too cold and too tired of trying to climb over all the mounds of snow. She did the smart thing and went inside to stay warm.
With this picture you can also see how deep it is. I only shoveled a little bit on the back porch and all of it went out over the railing, so what Sunshine is standing next to is as deep as it got. There is over 24 inches back there. It is amazing how fast it came, so much in just a short time.

Tyler had fun running from the top of the slope in the backyard and jumping into the fresh snow. He is totally covered here. The only downfall, he said, was the snow that snuck its way into his boots and gloves.

Noah standing in the middle of the jungle gym. he was trying really hard to clear all the snow out so he could play. Not sure if he ever got it the way he wanted it. He had fun trying though.

Some icicles off the back of the house. The kids had a great time throwing snowballs at them to knock them down with plenty of warning from mom to stand back so they don't get impailed, followed by a lengthy discussion on what it means to get impailed and then stories from the boys about guts falling and etc, etc, etc...

I really do think the snow is beuatiful. It is hard to drive in, but just look at this... I love going for walks in the snow, especially when it is snowing. There is just something about it that is so peaceful. The snowfall adds a muffled tone to the noise of the world that I really enjoy. It is so pretty to look at also. Granted, there is a lot more than we really know what to do with at this point, but it is gorgeous none-the-less. Lets see what I say after all of the next few snow storms make their way over us. We are due for more snow in the coming week. I just wonder how much this time.
